About

Breaking down barriers to the Gospel.

AP4U is an online Christian ministry established to break down barriers to the Gospel of Jesus Christ by providing faith-based resources to English and Spanish speaking congregations, pastors, leaders and individuals.

We seek to equip a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and multi-generational community that may not be able to afford or acquire training, coaching, mentoring or discipleship resources.

All of our materials are created in both English and Spanish, completely free, and designed to help leaders shape a theological approach to ministry. A key piece of our ministry is our AP4U YouTube channel, giving seminary-level training to pastors and elders who are hungry for teaching and direction.

With record numbers of pastors, missionaries, counselors, and leaders feeling completely overwhelmed and looking at leaving ministry altogether, AP4U wants to step in and offer help. We want to encourage and resource our Christian leaders so that they know they're not alone.

Pastor Luis

Pastor Luis Medrano

Pastor Medrano was born in Mexico and migrated to the United States as a 2-year-old. His parents settled into and raised their family of 8 children in the same community of Scottsdale where Pastor Medrano is presently raising his family. He and his wife, Charisma, have been married since 1991 and are the proud parents of four adult children and two amazing grandchildren.

Pastor Medrano is well known for his practical and dynamic teaching style which makes him a sought-after professional bilingual communicator who speaks at various churches both in and out of the country during the summer. His formal training includes a bachelor's degree in Biblical Communication from Southwestern Bible College and a Master of Divinity from Phoenix Seminary. Pastor Medrano has enjoyed the unique privilege of serving his entire tenure with the same church since 1995, presently named New Life Community Church in Scottsdale Arizona.

Pastor Medrano is a former United States Marine and a strong advocate for veteran's rights. His passion is transforming communities by promoting the Gospel of Jesus Christ and leading his congregation to become stakeholders in their church, schools and neighborhoods. Pastor Medrano has focused a great deal of his attention on building spiritual and cultural bridges in heterogeneous communities while teaching and promoting conservative values.

Most recently he has started a nonprofit online ministry organization called "Always Pulling for You" also known as AP4U. The purpose of the organization is to equip a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and multi-generational community that may not be able to afford or acquire training, coaching, mentoring or discipleship resources.

Beliefs

What we believe

The convictions that shape everything AP4U teaches and every leader it serves.

  1. We believe the Bible alone (the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments) to be the inspired, inerrant, authoritative word of God.
  2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
  4. We believe that all individuals are lost and sinful by nature. For their salvation, regeneration by the Holy Spirit given as a result of personal faith in Jesus Christ is absolutely essential. Salvation is an eternal gift from God, it cannot be earned.
  5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
  6. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. The body of Christ is the true universal church of which Christ is the head.
  7. We believe in the resurrection of the saved unto eternal life and the lost unto eternal condemnation.
Renew: A retreat for pastors

A retreat for pastors.

Renew is one of the ways AP4U comes alongside pastors and ministry leaders who spend their lives pouring into others.

Set in the beauty and quiet of Northern Arizona, these retreats have, since 2022, provided a place for leaders and their spouses to step away from the pressures of ministry, reconnect with God, strengthen their relationships, and simply breathe. With so many pastors and Christian leaders experiencing exhaustion, isolation, and discouragement, we believe caring for the shepherds is essential to caring for the church. Through Renew, AP4U provides encouragement, rest, fellowship, and spiritual refreshment to leaders who may desperately need it but have few places to turn. Your generosity helps make these retreats possible and allows us to invest in the health of those who faithfully invest in others.

Equip

Training for pastors and church leaders.

Equip exists to give pastors and church leaders access to biblical, theological, and practical training, especially in Spanish, while creating relationships that strengthen them for long-term ministry.

AP4U equips pastors, ministry leaders, and churches with accessible, biblically grounded theological education, practical ministry training, and meaningful relationships. Through conferences, workshops, and pastoral development initiatives, we seek to strengthen leaders who may not otherwise have access to seminary-level resources or ongoing ministry support.

Verdades Sagradas

A large-scale Spanish-language theological conference bringing together pastors, church leaders, seminary students, and church members for sound biblical teaching, pastoral encouragement, and leadership development. The 2026 conference, La Persona y la Obra de Yahweh, drew approximately 400 participants and demonstrated the growing hunger for accessible theological education within the Hispanic church.

Praxis Pastoral

A practical training initiative designed to encourage and strengthen Hispanic pastors and ministry leaders. Through workshops, fellowship, and relational gatherings, pastors and ministry couples receive theological training, practical ministry resources, pastoral care, and opportunities to build relationships with other leaders facing many of the same challenges.

Looking Ahead

AP4U is committed to expanding Equip through deeper theological education, pastoral care, marriage and family initiatives, retreats, and opportunities for pastors and churches to build lasting relationships and ministry partnerships. Our goal is not simply to train pastors, but to strengthen the shepherds who serve the church.

Christian Córdova

Christian Córdova

Equip Director

Christian Córdova was born in Quito, Ecuador, and moved to Phoenix, Arizona, in 1999. Although he initially pursued a career in Multimedia Design, a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ in 2005 redirected his life toward pastoral ministry. Since then, he has dedicated himself to preaching God’s Word, equipping church leaders, and strengthening local churches through biblical teaching and discipleship.

Christian earned a Master of Divinity with an emphasis in Family Counseling from Phoenix Seminary and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) with a focus on equipping the church for intercultural premarital counseling among Anglo and Hispanic couples.

He currently serves as the Hispanic Pastor at Desert Springs Community Church and as the Director of Hispanic Leadership Development, where he provides theological training and leadership development for pastors and ministry leaders. He also leads three strategic ministry initiatives (Verdades Sagradas, Certificate in Ministry Leadership (CLM), and Praxis Pastoral), all designed to equip the Hispanic church with sound doctrine, practical ministry training, and faithful biblical leadership.

Christian’s passion is to see pastors equipped, leaders developed, and churches strengthened for the glory of God. He believes that investing in leaders is one of the most effective ways to multiply the impact of the gospel, as every equipped leader has the potential to transform an entire congregation and the communities they serve.

Pastors and church leaders are often surrounded by people who need them, yet many have very few people with whom they can be completely honest about their own struggles, burdens, and relationships.

AP4U believes that those who care for the church need people who will care for them. Through marriage conferences, counseling, coaching, and mentoring, we come alongside pastors and their wives to strengthen the relationships that are foundational to their lives and ministry. We create safe places where ministry couples can be encouraged, challenged, and reminded that they do not have to carry their burdens alone. Our desire is to help pastors and their wives build healthy marriages, develop meaningful friendships, receive wise counsel, and find the encouragement they need to flourish, not simply as ministry leaders, but as husbands, wives, parents, and followers of Christ.

Because strong churches need healthy leaders, and healthy leaders need people who will walk beside them.
